In the spring of 2011, Proximity was tasked with redesigning the monthly BlackBerry consumer e-mails, BlackBerry Connection.

The brief was straightforward, but the opportunity was there to push beyond just emails in the effort of creating a more robust consumer communication platform. The team and myself embarked on an editorial overhaul centered on an entirely new microsite created for each month's mailing.

The e-mail itself took a simpler approach in order to meet best practices, but the gloves came off for the microsite version of the monthly newsletter, putting editorial design principles, vivid imagery and engaging typography and layouts to a new use each month.
